Letters and postcards from my family when I was a student at Manchester Art School and between 1967 and 1970. Also later when I lived in France from 1973 to 1974. Also my diary entries from 1973 -74.

Dear Mick - 12th October 1967
I hope you are all right? I have just had my hair cut ( help!). Mum cut it and now I look like a cowboy scalped by an Indian. Nothing much has been going on down here. We started building our bonfire but someone wrecked it. I hope your bed is all right. It sounds as if it's horrible. I bet you wish you had your own bed up there? Are you living the football ground, and have you seen any wild football supporters go there on Saturdays? School is the same as usually. The only good thing that happened was when the pimply maths teacher tripped over the cupboard during our maths lesson. I hope your friends are all right. Yours artisticly. John.

Dear Mick - 14th November 1967
I like your crazy letters to us. I hope you will write one to me? See you soon. John
P.S. I like the Kinks record Autumn Almanac and Donovan's There is A Mountain. Do you?
